Friends of Pickerings Pasture

The Friends of Pickerings Pasture ( and Hale Duck Decoy).

The Friends meet, every other month, at Pickerings Pasture Visitors Centre. At these meetings we decide what help is needed at Pickerings Pasture and Hale Duck Decoy, with events and activities, as well as planning ahead. We hold an AGM each year.

We arrange project days, including tasks and activities such as planting, cutting back, upkeep of the bird hides and nest box building. The group also raises funds to purchase bird food and has a rota for looking after the bird feeding stations. The Friends also organise social activities, like days out bird watching, once or twice a year.

The Friends are always looking for new members. Just turn up at a meeting, contact us on our website or give your name, address and telephone number to the Ranger and we will contact you.
