Pickerings Pasture LNR was the first site in Halton to gain the Green Flag Award.

Image The Green Flag Award

The Scheme began in 1996, as a means of recognising and rewarding the best green spaces.

It encourages high environmental standards, creating a benchmark of excellence in recreational areas.

Once again, in 2006, Pickerings Pasture was awarded a Green Flag, in recognition of the good standard of maintenance of its building and landscape, its environmental sustainability, its conservation of heritage and nature and its community involvement.
