Please pick up

  • Always take your Litter home
  • Always clean up after your Dog and keep it under control

LITTER LOUTS

On any public site it is important that litter, of any sort, is not left behind to spoil the experience of other visitors both aesthetically and because of the inherent danger of some waste products. On a Nature Reserve the problems caused by discarded waste increases because of the dangers it exposes wildlife to.

PETS ON PICKERINGS

Responsible owners are very welcome at Pickerings but dogs should be kept under control at all times. What you recognise as friendly behaviour in your dog can be very frightening or unwelcome to others, especially small children.  Dogs should never be allowed to run at or jump up at site users.

It's YOUR business to pick up after your dog. It is an offence to let your dog foul at Pickerings Pasture and it can lead to a fine or prosecution. You should always carry a poop scoop in your pocket or, better still, train your dog to go at home. Infection from faeces can damage health. Keep Pickerings Pasture safe for all its visitors and users.
