  AGM 26^th March 08  - Chair Persons Report

We are very sad to have lost some members this year and we thank everyone who has made a contribution to the work of our voluntary group.

This document gives a broad picture of the commitment and involvement of the FoPP. 

. FoPP members were involved in Wren Funding discussions, for a new pathway.

. FoPP members were involved in carrying out a pathways survey at Pickering.

. FoPP members painted and tidied the Pickerings Pasture bird hide area in.

. FoPP members attended the Green Flag inspection in May 07.

. FoPP members were involved in the building of the new HDD bird hide.

. FoPP Members provided refreshments at the Pickerings Country Fayre in July.

. FoPP member did repair work on the old HDD bird hides.

. The FoPP had new Hale Duck Decoy leaflets printed.

. Business cards, with the FoPP website address, were ordered and delivered.

. Lots of work was done on the development of the FoPP website.

. Decoy folders and information boards were produced for the LHI Project.

. The 9^th progress report for the LHI Hale Duck Decoy Project was completed.

. The new PCSO's introduced themselves at the FoPP Meeting in July.

. FoPP members worked on the new Decoy hide seating and steps.

. FoPP members buried a time capsule on Hale Duck Decoy in August 07.

. The FoPP had Decoy postcards printed, with information about guided walks.

. FoPP members developed information sheets for the Decoy information packs.

. FoPP members did cutting back work at the Pickerings hide in September.

. Insurance cover was organised for FoPP members in Oct 07.

. FoPP representatives attended the Tom Johnson hide memorial at HDD.

. FoPP members painted the new HDD hide on a project day in November.

. A HDD Celebration Event took place. FoPP provided buffet etc.

. The FoPP funds the bird food for the winter feeding.

. FoPP members organise bird feeding at Pickerings Pasture and HDD.

. The FoPP collated photographs for a HDD Archive CD.

. The final progress report for LHI HDD Project was posted in December.

. FoPP members provided a venue for the Christmas meeting and buffet.

. There was a FoPP bird box repair day in January 08.

. There was a FoPP project day at Pickerings, putting up bird boxes in February.

. FoPP members regularly contribute to the FoPP website.

. FoPP members update the FoPP notice board at Pickerings.

This list has been produced to provide information on the sort of voluntary work our group has been involved in over the last year. It is not a complete or detailed list, but a b to the wild life and environment at Pickerings Pasture LNR and Hale Duck Decoy Nature Reserve. Year by year the tasks we are involved in change. All ideas and time given is valued. road picture of our commitment
