I was chatting to another visitor down at the hide and he was telling me about Halton Community Radio. I thought some of you might be interested and asked him to give us details:-
My name is John, and I am a presenter on Halton Community Radio. My show is on every Monday (2pm to 4pm) and it's called "The Motown Show". All the presenters are volunteers: the same as The Friends of Pickerings Pasture. The station tries to involve the community and be involved in community events through the radio. When on air presenters have to play information jingles and adverts. There is also a section called "Halton in Sixty Seconds". This is information about local places and their history in Halton. I found one that covers Pickerings Pasture which is good and informative. I play the information jingle twice on my show; hoping people will make the effort to discover Pickerings Pasture. I try to play the information jingle at approx. 2.30 + 3.30 pm.
We have a very good website www.hcr923.com and you can listen live on the computer.
