Projects

The Friends get involved in projects and events both at Pickerings Pasture and Hale Duck Decoy. They are usually very practical and are carried out under the supervision of the HBC Parks and Countryside Ranger.

In January and February of 2007 we have been involved in planting trees and repairing and putting up bird boxes at Pickerings. We have also done some repairs to one of the hides on the Decoy and helped with a water drainage problem there.

The display of snowdrops and many of the other flowering bulbs that can be seen at Pickerings in the Spring are as a result of the Friends purchasing and planting over the last few years.
